Diligence-grade answers, with names attached.

A grade you cannot interrogate is not diligence. Martlet gives you what the field's leading experts actually know — named, evidenced, and open to challenge — at the speed the process runs.

The shared problem

The scarce thing is not information. It is judgement someone will put their name to.

An expert call costs four figures an hour, and the knowledge vanishes when it ends. Transcript libraries scale the reuse but strip the names — nobody stands behind an anonymised answer. Generic AI will summarise anything, and cannot tell you why one claim deserves more confidence than another. Meanwhile capital moves into carbon, energy and advanced materials faster than rigour can keep up.

Martlet holds a licensed library of the field’s expert work — the corpus — built from papers, reports and structured interviews contributed by the people who built the field. You bring the decision. We bring what the field actually knows.

01 / Sustainability and procurement teams

A carbon decision you can defend.

The same project can be rated high by one agency and low by another. When a purchase goes wrong, the exposure does not land on the rater. It lands on you — in front of a regulator, a litigant, or the press.

For clients · Corporate

Not a grade. A defensible answer.

Carbon purchasing has moved from the sustainability team to legal and finance: it is now a risk decision. You need to know what is real, what is uncertain, and who stands behind the answer.

You bring
  • The decision in front of you — a purchase, a portfolio, a claim you need to stand up
  • The questions your board, auditor or regulator will ask
  • The follow-ups, as they come
You receive
  • A diligence report with every claim traced to a named expert and their evidence
  • Consensus and dissent, mapped — where the field agrees and where it does not
  • The ability to keep asking, with sources shown
01

Ask

Tell us the decision and what would count as being wrong. We frame the questions.

02

Retrieve

The system reads across the licensed expert corpus in seconds. Cleared sources only.

03

Review

A human analyst reviews every answer before it reaches you. Contested claims are flagged, not smoothed over.

04

Defend

You get the answer and the trail — who said what, on what evidence, and what would change the conclusion.

A grade you cannot interrogate is not diligence.

02 / Investment teams

Conviction you can push on.

In frontier fields, the cost of a confident wrong answer is the deal. Sources are licensed, published and reviewed: no live calls with insiders, and structurally lower MNPI exposure than an expert network.

For clients · Funds

A body of expert knowledge you can interrogate.

Not another call. Bring us the assumption your deal rests on, and test it against what the field's experts have put their names to.

You bring
  • The deal, the technology, or the thesis under pressure
  • The assumptions you most need tested
  • Follow-ups through the life of the process
You receive
  • A diligence report with every claim traced to a named expert and their evidence
  • Consensus and dissent, mapped — the texture of the field, not a single grade
  • Answers you can push on: find what would change the conclusion

Ask the follow-up. Then the uncomfortable one. The corpus answers, sources shown.

We are working with a small number of clients in climate and carbon removal. If the call you are about to make matters, we would like to hear about it.
